Lauren LaMay is from Raleigh, NC and is currently a theatre professor at Wake Tech Community College in Raleigh.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Design and Technology from The University of North Carolina - Asheville, a Masters from the University of Toronto, and a PhD from the University of Georgia.

Lauren enjoys crafting pottery, traveling, and spending time with her 6 year old daughter, Lilly.  She also sits on the board of the NC Community College Association of Arts.  Her goals for Oak City Voices include growing its audience and talented members.
